Description

Lead backend architecture and development for international payment gateway systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable backend services for payment authorization, settlement, and onboarding.
• Architect integrations with major card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI) and ensure PCI-DSS compliance.
• Drive migration of legacy systems to Linux RHEL or Cloud environments.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on system reliability and performance optimization.
• Document system architecture, integration flows, and technical specifications for production support.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in backend development, specifically within payment switching platforms.
• Proficiency in C++ and Korn Shell Script for Linux-based development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Base24-eps, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with IBM MQ upgrades and managing production issues effectively.
• Familiarity with Open System RHEL, POS/EDC, and ATM configurations.
• Deep understanding of international card scheme mandates and payment security standards.

Preferred Skills

• QR integration experience.
• Background in high-volume transaction processing systems.
