Description

You will design, implement, and deploy backend services capable of handling millions of requests per day.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable microservices using container-based distribution and job queuing.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe production releases via automated testing.
• Refactor existing systems to optimize performance, throughput, and response times.
• Define and monitor operational metrics to ensure system quality and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and participate in design reviews.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software development experience focused purely on backend engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python and Django.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud.
• Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Ruby.
• Experience with server-side MVC frameworks including Django, .NET, Spring, Rails, or Phoenix.
• Proven track record of building and supporting scalable APIs and services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
