Description

You will own backend features from design through production support, ensuring reliability and performance of distributed systems handling millions of daily transactions. You will drive technical decisions, design scalable architectures, and maintain high-throughput microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, resilient distributed systems and low-latency microservices.
• Write clean, type-safe code in Java, Scala, or TypeScript, utilizing frameworks like NestJS, Express, or Fastify.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, contract, and E2E tests.
• Manage AWS infrastructure (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3) and data stores (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka).
• Analyze production incidents using Datadog and Splunk, driving blameless post-mortems and proactive improvements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, or TypeScript with Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of message queues (Kafka) and caching (Redis).
• Experience with document databases (MongoDB) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) including schema design and query optimization.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to produce clear technical design documents and lead design reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and Splunk for APM and log analysis.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, including circuit breakers, retries, and graceful degradation.
