Description

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in Node.js/TypeScript, AI/ML, recommendation systems, and scalable backend architecture to help build a next-generation AI-driven social platform.

What You’ll Build
High-throughput, low-latency social feed infrastructure
Node.js / TypeScript microservices and APIs
Feed fan-out, caching, aggregation, and performance optimization
Python-based ML and recommendation pipelines
Ranking, personalization, candidate generation, embeddings, and content filtering
AI-powered video/content analysis and product discovery
Scalable services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Redis, PostgreSQL, and Vector Databases
Vertex AI, Vision/Video APIs, Pinecone, Weaviate, or GCP Vector Search

What We’re Looking For
5+ years of senior-level backend engineering experience
Strong Node.js + TypeScript/JavaScript expertise
Experience building high-concurrency, high-throughput distributed systems
Hands-on Python experience with ML, data, or recommendation systems
Experience with social feeds, recommendation engines, personalization, or discovery platforms
Strong GCP experience
Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, and vector databases
Strong understanding of microservices, API architecture, scalability, and performance
⭐ Nice to Have
Computer Vision / Multimodal AI, video understanding, recommendation and ranking algorithms, React Native / Expo backend integration, and startup/high-growth product experience
