Description

You will design, develop, and scale backend services and distributed applications within a cloud environment.

Lead technical initiatives by mentoring junior engineers and solving complex design problems. Execute technical solution design within established architectures for complex features. Contribute to project architecture and technical specifications. Resolve defects and bugs throughout the QA, pre-production, and production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend APIs and distributed systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical decision-making.
• Define technical specifications and architecture for new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across all lifecycle stages.

Required Skills

• 5+ years developing web and software applications.
• 5+ years building mid-tier and Backend APIs using Node.js.
• 5+ years experience with software design and architecture.
• 5+ years experience with REST or SOAP web services.
• Proven experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services.
• Deep understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience designing distributed, scalable, and highly reliable cloud applications.
• Proficiency in unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience working within Agile, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with social, mobile, cloud/SaaS, big data, or analytics.
• Experience developing and maintaining large-scale, consumer-facing applications.
