Description

You will build and scale backend services within a distributed systems environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build features by working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Own the full development cycle including design, coding, testing, deployment, and analysis.
• Review code and design documents while providing feedback on architecture and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements to development workflows and best practices.
• Lead medium-to-large projects across multiple teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Cassandra and either Go or Python (backend-focused).
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby.
• Strong experience in API design using GraphQL, REST, HTTP, or Thrift.
• Deep knowledge of distributed caching and large-scale data storage.
• Proven track record of 2-3 years in a senior or leadership role on a single product.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
