Description

You will build and maintain the backend for user-facing products while contributing to technical direction and team standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the full development cycle including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, and launch.
• Lead legacy migrations, specifically transitioning endpoints from Python to Go.
• Set developer workflow standards and mentor engineers on the team.
• Review code and design documents, providing feedback on product specs and mocks.
• Execute product strategy by working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering counterparts.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Mandatory experience migrating services from Python to Go.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang.
• Strong system design skills with a focus on latency and scalability.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Hands-on work with Postgres and Redis.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data-intensive systems.
• Experience with Grafana for dashboarding and metrics/alerting.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 3-year tenure roles in previous positions.
