Key Skills: Java, Microarchitecture, System Design

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead development and maintenance of backend APIs that power experimentation data for multiple products
• Design and evolve API contracts, including API governance, documentation, and long-term maintainability
• Solve complex backend problems across performance, scalability, and reliability; improve development efficiency
• Drive technical architecture decisions and guide the team on incremental, agile design approaches
• Refactor and simplify code using appropriate design patterns; mentor and coach junior engineers

Skills Required:

• 12 - 15 years of relevant backend software engineering experience
• Java (backend development)
• API design, including API management, documentation, and governance
• Relational database experience with MySQL
• Backend engineering practices for building and operating API-driven services

Good to Have:

• System design and microarchitecture experience
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with statistics and A/B testing

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
