Lead backend API development and system design for experimentation data services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of backend APIs powering experimentation data.
• Design API contracts, governance, documentation, and long-term maintainability.
• Solve complex problems in performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Drive technical architecture decisions and guide incremental, agile design.
• Refactor code using design patterns and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Java backend development.
• API design, management, documentation, and governance.
• Relational database experience with MySQL.
• Backend engineering practices for API-driven services.

Preferred Skills

• System design and microarchitecture experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with statistics and A/B testing.
