Description

You build and maintain scalable backend systems for media subscription and commerce platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Scala, Cats Effect, http4s, Play, and Golang.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs backed by relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement automated testing at unit, integration, and functional levels to ensure code quality.
• Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services like ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and Lambda.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering scalable backend solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Scala or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Golang.
• Proven ability to design resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented or functional programming principles.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
