Description

You will lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of complex enterprise backup and storage infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration, installation, and configuration of all backup and storage systems including CommVault, Dell/EMC, IBM, NetApp, and Pure Storage.
• Create CommVault backup jobs for Linux, UNIX, Windows hosts, NAS NDMP, and databases such as DB2, SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Execute masking, zoning, and provisioning of storage to UNIX, Windows, and VMware servers.
• Own data backup and recovery support for cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
• Plan and execute hardware upgrades, system health checks, and security patching with minimal downtime.
• Analyze reported issues and design system architecture to meet business needs.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of CommVault Complete Data Protection.
• Experience with VMware data protection and recovery using VADP.
• Ability to configure, administer, and optimize NFS/CIFS protocols on NetApp storage arrays.
• Proficiency in command line and shell scripting.
• Strong experience with UNIX environments including IBM AIX, Linux, and HP-UX.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and administration of networking hardware.
• Hands-on experience performing data recoveries and general troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of experience within the last 5 years configuring and troubleshooting CommVault in enterprise environments.
• 3 years of experience with Dell/EMC, IBM, NetApp, and Pure Storage midrange to enterprise class arrays.
• 2 years of experience managing cloud-based backup, servers, and storage systems.
