Description

You will own the development, optimization, and governance of data models and visualizations within the Looker ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain LookML code to define data models, dimensions, measures, and relationships.
• Develop reusable LookML components and complex derived tables to ensure reporting consistency.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data and improve dashboard loading performance.
• Configure user roles, permissions, and data security protocols including row-level and field-level security.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to data modeling, queries, and dashboard performance while supporting business users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in BI engineering or data modeling.
• Expertise in LookML, including advanced concepts like Liquid, PDTs, and caching strategies.
• Strong SQL skills for complex data manipulation and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Proficiency in ETL processes for data transformation and preparation.
• Working knowledge of Looker API, SDK, and the extension framework.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Python, Apache Spark, and data warehousing architectures.
• Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance principles.
