Description

You will design, code, and test large-scale data systems for tens of thousands of users.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design, coding, and testing of enterprise software solutions and data integration projects.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, focusing on performance, availability, and scalability.
• Manage operations and maintenance of existing systems while identifying areas for streamlining and improvement.
• Provide direct technical support for high-visibility, critical trouble calls and participate in product scoping and architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior software engineers and recommend new technologies to improve the stack.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software development and Data Engineering experience.
• Strong programming background in Java, Python, or Scala.
• 3+ years of experience with Hadoop MapReduce, Sqoop, Oozie, Hive, and Spark.
• 2+ years of experience on AWS, specifically using Lambda, S3, Redshift, and Glue.
• Experience building Kafka-based data ingestion and retrieval programs.
• Proven ability to tune Hadoop, Spark, and Hive parameters for optimal performance.
• Strong SQL query writing and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and automated unit testing.

Preferred Skills

• Cloudera Developer certification.
• Healthcare industry experience.
