Description

You will own the technical support and operational health of the big data platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives, maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
• Mentor team members and review technical designs.
• Communicate platform health, risks, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
• Support JupyterHub in production environments.
• Drive optimization and documentation practices across the platform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in big data engineering and platform support.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark).
• Proven expertise in Starburst (or Trino/Presto).
• Hands-on experience utilizing Tableau.
• Experience supporting production environments.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning and resource optimization.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
