Description

You will own the full lifecycle of services, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement. You will design, implement, and enhance deployment automation using Chef, including writing recipes and cookbooks. You will orchestrate application releases and integrate tools like Sonar, Maven, and Artifactory to build out the CI/CD pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a Git-based code management strategy for parallel environment deployments.
• Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback loops to development teams on operational gaps.
• Support services pre-launch through capacity planning and system design consulting.
• Monitor system health, availability, and latency to sustainably scale systems.
• Mentor junior resources and perform rotational on-call duties.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in industry-standard CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory.
• Proven experience writing Chef recipes and cookbooks for release and deployment processes.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-based architecture, preferably Azure and PCF.
• Strong programming skills in Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with WebServices (SOAP/REST) and API design.
• Proficiency in Git/BitBucket, Sonar, and Groovy scripting.
• Ability to debug and optimize code, with a focus on automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Background in Agile development environments and large-scale distributed systems.
