Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across enterprise software implementation programs valued at $5M or more
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, executive sponsors, solution architects, and development teams
Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and stakeholder interviews to define program scope and objectives
Translate complex business needs into detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria
Develop process flows and current-state/future-state analysis to guide solution design
Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements aligned with business objectives
Manage scope, traceability, and change control across the requirements baseline
Duties/Responsibilities
Plans and leads the analysis workstream for large, multi-phase software implementation projects, coordinating across multiple teams and vendors
Elicits, validates, and prioritizes requirements from business and technical stakeholders, resolving conflicting priorities
Produces and maintains comprehensive documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, process maps, and requirements traceability matrices
Partners with solution architects and developers to ensure proposed solutions satisfy documented requirements and business goals
Defines acceptance criteria and supports the development of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
Coordinates and facilitates UAT, capturing defects and managing resolution with delivery teams
Identifies, tracks, and escalates project risks, dependencies, and issues that may impact scope, timeline, or budget
Supports project managers with effort estimation, scope definition, and status reporting on high-value engagements
Provides post-implementation support, user training materials, and process optimization recommendations
Manages stakeholder expectations and communications across executive, business, and technical audiences
Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
8+ years of business analysis experience, with a proven track record on enterprise software implementation projects
Demonstrated experience leading analysis on software implementation projects with total budgets exceeding $5 million
Expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, traceability matrices)
Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
Proven ability to facilitate workshops and manage diverse, senior-level stakeholder groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Experience with process modeling and requirements tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or CSPO
Experience delivering implementations in regulated industries (Government, Financial Services, Healthcare)
Experience working with system integration, package implementation, or custom software delivery
Familiarity with data migration, integration patterns, and reporting/analytics requirements
Experience working with nearshore and offshore delivery teams
Exposure to vendor management and statement of work (SOW) scope definition
Based on the East Coast or able to support East Coast working hours and client locations
