Identifies, Develops, and Qualifies a pipeline of opportunities within the customer community. Prepares and presents capability statements and other new business information presentations and works closely with business leaders across the Intelligence and Cyber Business Group to enhance the operational pipelines.
Develops customer engagement strategies and maintains close relationships with the key customers to understand their requirements, plans, goals and concerns to develop new business.
Consults with the client on upcoming requirements to help shape requests for proposals (RFPs) and ensures BD/Proposal teams have full understanding of requirements, constraints, and perceived risks. (Responsible for core market sustainment and new business growth; responsible for new business opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, and capture).
Works with the Capture Manager and other pursuit leaders to inform decision(s) through contract award, including bid strategies, teaming strategies, competitive analysis, the development of the technical, management and cost strategies associated with the proposal.
Supports the development of customer account strategies, responses to Request for Information (RFI), Market Surveys, and Expressions of Interest (EOI) documents from the client.
Participates in the strategic planning process to mature strategies for future market changes and trends and assesses the likely impact on the IC customers.
Participates in the planning and execution of trade shows and other industry events in support of opportunity development and market strategy.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of three years BD experience involving customer engagement, pipeline development, and qualification of key strategies opportunities over ****M in size.
Bachelor’s degree in subject matter relevant to customer’s mission required OR 10 years’ experience without a degree.
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and the ability to access the client’s system.
Understanding of customers’ operations, priorities, short/long term goals, strengths, and weaknesses typically derived from having worked within this customer’s organization in a variety of roles and departments.
Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks are essential.
