Description

Lead the design, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions, including standard reporting, dashboards, and self-service environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze BI requirements and architect solutions with detailed design documentation.
• Develop Cognos reporting solutions, dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to define business and presentation layers of the BI model.
• Perform tuning and troubleshooting to ensure reports function within acceptable parameters.
• Review existing architecture and recommend necessary changes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IS experience, with 5+ years focused on hands-on dashboard and report development using Cognos.
• Proficiency in the Cognos BI Product Suite: Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, and Workspace Advanced.
• Hands-on experience with Framework Manager Dimensional Modeling and Transformer cubes.
• Experience with Java Scripting or jQuery to extend Cognos capabilities.
• Strong understanding of relational database principles, including OLTP, OLAP, 3NF, and Star-Schema.
• Proven ability in developing Dashboards, KPIs, Scorecards, and mobile reporting.
• Experience leading a BI team and working with stakeholders at various leadership levels.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Advanced query writing skills and experience with data sourced from JD Edwards.
• Cognos Administration experience and familiarity with SOX and agile methodologies.
