Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst with experience in modern data platforms, particularly Databricks, to act as a link between the business and the Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams. The person will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, defining functional specifications, and ensuring the correct implementation of data solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Organize workshops with business and IT stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Identify the impact of changes on existing processes and systems
• Define business rules, acceptance criteria, and testing scenarios

Data & Databricks

• Collaborate with Data Engineers on the design and development of data pipelines in Databricks
• Analyze data sources, mappings, and data transformations
• Participate in defining data models and the information architecture
• Understand and document ETL/ELT processes developed in Databricks
• Contribute to defining data quality rules and operational controls
• Ensure data traceability from source to reporting

Testing and Validation

• Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria
• Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Validate implementation results together with stakeholders
• Investigate defects and analyze their root causes

Job Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business System Analyst
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data & Analytics projects
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams
• Experience working in Agile environments

Technical Skills

• Practical experience with Databricks
• Solid knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of the following concepts:
  • Data Lake
  • Data Warehouse
  • ETL / ELT
  • Delta Lake
  • Data Governance
  • Data Quality
• Experience with:
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory (an advantage)
  • Power BI / Qlik / Tableau (an advantage)
