Description

You will own the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for cybersecurity systems, ensuring alignment with federal security standards.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop System Security Plans, procedures, and technical specifications based on stakeholder requirements.
• Collect, enhance, rewrite, and peer-review technical documentation for systems down to the component level.
• Prepare reports detailing architecture, design, and process flows for operational use.
• Organize security operations data into reusable formats and create user manuals.
• Provide briefings and training on completed or modified documentation to relevant teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the IT industry as a technical writer or analyst.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
• Experience with Azure RMS (Rights Management Services).
• Familiarity with FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to tailor technical content for diverse audiences.
• Experience in proofreading, editing, and following security engineering processes.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience in cybersecurity roles or domains.
