Description

You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Cassandra database environments, ensuring stability, security, and performance for high-volume OLTP applications.

Responsibilities

• Install and administer Cassandra databases and server-class databases.
• Define standards for deployment, security, authentication, authorization, and management policies.
• Implement backup, restoration, monitoring, and alarming strategies using DataStax Ops Center.
• Create technical documentation and guides for production database administrators.
• Advise management on high-impact data management issues to influence strategic direction.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience implementing and administering DataStax Cassandra.
• 4+ years of experience with DataStax Ops Center for backup, restoration, and monitoring.
• 4+ years of experience with Ansible or equivalent automation tools.
• 4+ years of experience with Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Strong proficiency in UNIX and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database architectures.
• Background in designing for high-volume OLTP applications.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Change Management and SDLC processes.

Preferred Skills

• DataStax Certified Cassandra Administrator or Developer.
• Proven experience with MongoDB.
