Description

You apply engineering principles to assigned projects using data measurement, collection, analysis, and problem-solving for dewatering and storing hard rock tailings.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex planning, construction, expansion, or modifications.
• Collaborate with corporate, site, consultant, and vendor teams to apply technology for responsible tailings storage.
• Perform planning, scheduling, and economic analysis for associated tasks.
• Evaluate and implement new methods for design and operational improvement by benchmarking existing processes.
• Develop scopes of work, evaluate proposals, and administer vendor contracts for services and equipment.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of experience in the field, or three (3) years with a Master’s Degree.
• Knowledge of civil, geotechnical, water resources, water quality/treatment, and/or geological engineering principles.
• Design and/or operations experience in tailings storage, leach stockpiles, water dams, process water balance, or slurry transport.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3d, ArcGIS, and Goldsim.
• Fluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Experience following safety practices and recognizing occupational hazards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and execute under pressure.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical or Water Engineering specialization.
• Experience with alternative tailings technologies (e.g., paste, crushed rock, filtered).
