Description

Lead civil and structural design for industrial plant infrastructure and construction projects in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering and design for industrial infrastructure, including concrete structures, piles, steel structures, and anchorage.
• Manage technical reviews, scope of work documents, and estimates across proposal, engineering, and construction phases.
• Verify design inputs from internal teams and vendors to identify inconsistencies, errors, or omissions.
• Resolve civil-structural issues during engineering and construction, answering RFIs and TQs.
• Review vendor and fabricator shop drawings and support interdisciplinary coordination with piping and E&I teams.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of design engineering experience within an EPC setting.
• Current Texas Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in Civil-3D, StorClientAD, HEC-RAS, and Atlas 13 & 14.
• Experience with structural design software including STAAD and Mat3D.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SmartPlant Review, and Navisworks.
• Expertise in hydraulic and hydrological design for stormwater and effluent systems, including detention and retention regulations.
• Deep understanding of structural design involving foundations, steel, and connection designs.
• Application of national building codes including IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to travel approximately 25% to project locations and engineering offices.
