Description

You design and implement IT architecture for application migrations and AWS cloud implementations across state agencies.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud migration, modernization, and multi-cloud strategies to build scalable, resilient architectures.
• Serve as the technical expert in AWS, resolving complex commercial and technical customer challenges.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives driving thought leadership on multi-cloud and AWS migration scenarios.
• Assist agencies with architectural decisions to optimize application cost and performance.
• Review existing system architectures to identify cloud platforming and refactoring opportunities.

Required Skills

• 10+ years overall experience, including 5+ years in enterprise, full-life cycle Architecture within IT/Software Development services.
• 5-8 years of hands-on technical application architecture and build/modernization experience.
• 5+ years succeeding in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects.
• Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications in AWS environments.
• Experience designing solutions for private, public, and hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS).
• Experience architecting highly available systems using load balancing and horizontal scalability.
• Proficiency with AWS, NoSQL, CI/CD, Java, Python, HTTP, Oracle, and MS SQL.

Preferred Skills

• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and developers.
