Description

You will design and implement IT architectures to support application migrations and AWS cloud implementations across State Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient cloud architectures to facilitate AWS service adoption and solve complex business problems.
• Serve as a technical expert to guide customers through commercial and technical AWS challenges.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on multi-cloud and AWS migration scenarios.
• Evaluate existing system architectures and software products to identify refactoring and cloud platforming opportunities.
• Partner with State agencies to make architectural decisions that optimize application cost and performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in technology roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including networking, security, storage, and DevOps.
• Experience with containers, serverless architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Java.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, analytics, and machine learning.
• Understanding of HTTP/S, FTP, and Publish/subscribe mechanisms.
• Experience with SOAP messaging and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior technical executives and software developers.
