Description

Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud architectures to drive AWS adoption and modernization for state agencies. Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cloud migration and multi-cloud scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud migration and multi-cloud strategies to solve complex business problems.
• Review existing system architectures to identify refactoring and cloud platforming opportunities.
• Advise state agencies on architectural decisions to optimize application cost and performance.
• Serve as a technical expert for AWS, supporting customers through commercial and technical challenges.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise full-lifecycle architecture.
• 5-8 years of hands-on technical application architecture and modernization experience.
• 5+ years of success in consultative technical sales and complex deployment projects.
• Extensive experience designing and programming applications for cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep understanding of highly available systems using load balancing and horizontal scalability.
• Broad knowledge of networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, and serverless.
• Experience with RDBMS technologies including Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Postgres.
• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles and regulatory compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with GCP, OCI, or state and local government environments.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, HTTP/S, FTP, and REST services.
