Description

Design and implement IT architectures for application migrations and AWS cloud implementations across state agencies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud migration, modernization, and multi-cloud architectures to solve complex business problems.
• Serve as a technical expert in AWS to support customers with commercial and technical challenges.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on multi-cloud and AWS migration scenarios.
• Review existing system architectures and software products to identify refactoring and cloud platforming opportunities.
• Advise state agencies on architectural decisions to optimize applications for cost and performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise full-lifecycle architecture.
• 5-8 years of hands-on application architecture and modernization experience.
• 5+ years of success in consultative technical sales and deployment projects.
• Extensive experience architecting and programming applications for cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, application architecture, and cloud security.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and regulatory compliance standards.
• Experience architecting highly available systems using load balancing and horizontal scalability.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with GCP, OCI, or state and local government environments.
• Proficiency with Java, Python, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Postgres.
