Description

Design and implement AWS cloud architectures for application migrations and modernization across state agencies. This role leads technical solutions, manages stakeholder consensus, and ensures high availability and scalability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architectures aligned with strategic organizational goals.
• Lead application modernization and build projects within AWS and public cloud environments.
• Architect highly available systems utilizing load balancing and horizontal scalability.
• Apply enterprise architecture principles to integrate applications, data, infrastructure, and security.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to reach consensus on complex technical solutions and deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Architecture and implementation.
• 5+ years of experience with solution architecture and underlying information technologies on AWS or Public Cloud.
• 5+ years of experience with private, public, and hybrid cloud models including IaaS and PaaS.
• 7 years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of application software at scale.
• 3 years of experience with cloud migrations.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, HTTP/S, FTP, and REST Services.
• Technical knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Postgres.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, DevOps, and publish/subscribe mechanisms.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with GCP, OCI, or Azure.
