Description

You will design and implement IT architectures for application migrations and AWS cloud implementations across State Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient cloud architectures to drive AWS service adoption and solve complex business problems.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on multi-cloud and AWS migration scenarios.
• Act as a technical advisor to senior executives, software developers, and IT operations staff.
• Evaluate existing system architectures to identify refactoring and cloud platforming opportunities.
• Optimize applications for cost and performance while contributing to the development of architectural standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise full-lifecycle architecture.
• 5-8 years of hands-on technical application architecture and modernization experience.
• 5+ years of experience in consultative technical sales or complex deployment projects.
• Deep expertise in architecting applications for cloud environments, focusing on high availability and horizontal scalability.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, networking, security, storage, and DevOps.
• Experience with relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Technical proficiency in Java, Python, HTTP/S, FTP, SOAP, and REST services.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with GCP, OCI, or state and local government environments.
• Enterprise-wide integration experience.
