Description

Lead the migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS and PostgreSQL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS.
• Convert select databases from Oracle and SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
• Develop and execute migration strategies, covering planning, design, and implementation.
• Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with the in-house database support team to transfer knowledge and ensure environment maintainability.

Required Skills

• Proven experience migrating on-premises databases to AWS RDS.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool.
• Experience with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Technical skills in Python, Bash, and Powershell.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Database – Specialty.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
