Description

You will design, develop, and manage a Snowflake-based cloud data warehouse to support reporting and analytics for Technology Risk functions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Snowflake data warehouse capabilities, including data sharing, time travel, Snow Park, and workload optimization for AI use-cases.
• Build and manage data pipelines for structured and unstructured data using Python-based tooling.
• Integrate the data warehouse with internal platforms for data quality, cataloging, discovery, and incident logging.
• Establish best practices for Snowflake usage using Airflow, DBT, and Spark.
• Monitor query and data load performance, performing tuning on SQL queries, Spark jobs, and stored procedures.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data development within complex, large-volume data environments.
• 7+ years of SQL/PLSQL experience, including writing complex queries for data analysis.
• 5+ years of experience developing data solutions on Snowflake.
• SnowPro Core certification.
• 3+ years of experience with Python and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• 3+ years of experience developing solutions in hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environments.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools like Dagster.
• Strong understanding of E-R data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect or Advanced Data Engineer certifications.
• Hands-on experience with DBT.
• Understanding of advanced data warehouse concepts such as Factless Fact Tables and Temporal/Bi-Temporal models.
