Description

You will own the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of our cloud database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS RDS instances and Aurora deployments across multiple database engines.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning and system configuration.
• Execute migrations from legacy on-premise systems to cloud-native environments.
• Implement security measures including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Production experience managing AWS RDS at scale.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Aurora.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong background in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for database maintenance and monitoring.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Database Specialty certification.
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps principles.
