Description

You will manage the complete lifecycle of cloud database environments, from initial design through implementation and ongoing maintenance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS RDS instances across multiple database engines to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Lead migrations from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions.
• Design and enforce database security measures, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
• Collaborate with development teams to provide data solutions that balance performance, cost, and reliability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Extensive experience with AWS database services, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Production experience managing PostgreSQL and Aurora deployments at scale.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases and DynamoDB.
• Strong background in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for database maintenance and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of AWS security features and best practices.
• Knowledge of high-availability configurations and disaster recovery principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL database management.
