Description

You will administer and manage enterprise-scale computerized databases across client/server environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases, focusing on performance, JCL, access methods, and documentation.
• Forecast and plan long-term database requirements in coordination with IT leaders.
• Perform database programming, performance tuning, validation checks, and security controls.
• Recommend and manage database access strategies for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years working with SQL-based query languages (Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server).
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Experience with large-scale enterprise databases in operational/secure environments.
• 5+ years supporting DoW IT hosting solutions.
• Expertise with Oracle 19c+ technologies, including RMAN, OEM 13c, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency working in Linux/Unix (RHEL8+) including scripting and system administration.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and HA solutions.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS, OCI) and cloud-native deployments.
• Ability to implement automation via scripting languages and manage SQL Server (2016+) migrations.
