Description

You will automate the deployment and migration of PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL databases, including CockroachDB and YugabyteDB, across AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Automate database-as-a-service provisioning and deployment pipelines across multiple cloud providers.
• Implement infrastructure as code for database deployment, encryption, security, and data protection.
• Mentor and coach engineers on standard methodologies and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to build common deployment pipelines.
• Research and provide technical recommendations for complex database and cloud solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering and automation.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, CloudFormation, and YAML.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Go, Ruby, or Perl.
• Strong CI/CD skills using Jenkins or Jenkins Core.
• Practical knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Vault, Artifactory, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Relational and Distributed SQL database administration.
• Background in Agile software development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Concourse pipeline automation.
