Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage PostgreSQL architecture, internals, and database design for high availability and performance.
• Execute database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL or Aurora using AWS DMS.
• Implement backup, recovery, and tuning strategies to ensure data integrity and security.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Monitor database performance and implement cost optimization strategies within AWS.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database administration and cloud engineering.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, internals, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora, including Global databases and storage management.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation (CFT).
• Strong knowledge of database security and access management.
• Experience with AWS DMS for data migration and integrity verification.
• Solid understanding of the broader AWS ecosystem.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting traditional database technologies like Oracle and MongoDB.
