Description

You will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based data platforms and applications on AWS. Your work ensures data integrity, system stability, and efficient ETL workflows across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain complex ETL workflows, data pipelines, and cloud applications using Python and SQL.
• Oversee automated jobs and cloud workloads to maximize uptime, proactively troubleshooting production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage enterprise-level data retention, archival, and lifecycle policies while ensuring strict data governance within AWS.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to documentation and runbooks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members during cloud modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or related technical roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and application development.
• Advanced understanding of ETL workflows and large-scale data processing architectures.
• Proven track record of monitoring and maintaining production-grade cloud systems.
• Experience leading cloud modernization or migration initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools such as PagerDuty.
• Exposure to financial services or fintech systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
