Description

You will design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure across AWS and Azure cloud platforms. You will own the release and maintenance of secure, scalable network components.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement VPCs, subnets, and software-defined networking in AWS and Azure.
• Manage, deploy, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco VPN concentrators, and Cisco CSR devices.
• Enforce network security using IAM, security groups, and NACLs while adhering to DoD STIGs and IAVM standards.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning to ensure reliability.
• Resolve complex network issues using packet captures and provide Level-2/3 support.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Enterprise Network Engineering experience covering Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• Hands-on experience with AWS environments, including Transit Gateway, AWS Routing, and AWS Load Balancers.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure deployment and AWS Security Group management.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IPsec (AES 256), firewalls, IPS, and route-maps.
• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NAT, and SSL.
• Direct experience with EKS and Cisco/Palo Alto hardware.
• Working knowledge of network topologies such as MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM, and ISDN.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Preferred Skills

• 7+ years of experience managing network environments.
• AWS Advanced Networking Certificate, CCNP, or higher (CCIE/CISSP highly valued).
• AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals certification.
