Description
You will lead the migration of an on-premises Apache Solr search platform to AWS OpenSearch.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration plan.
- Design and configure OpenSearch services on AWS based on current on-premises setups and future requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to assist in the development of OpenSearch APIs.
- Lead OpenSearch capability development, including relevance and performance tuning.
- Maintain cloud orchestration and automation to meet target SLAs with minimal downtime.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Solr.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS ElastiCache.
- Advanced proficiency in AWS Architecture.
- Experience writing CloudFormation scripts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Lucene development or other low-level inverted indexes.
