Description

You will lead the migration of an on-premises Apache Solr search platform to AWS OpenSearch.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration plan.
• Design and configure OpenSearch services on AWS based on current setups and future requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to assist in the development of OpenSearch APIs.
• Lead OpenSearch capability development, including relevance and performance tuning.
• Maintain cloud orchestration and automation to meet target SLAs with minimal downtime.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Solr.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS ElastiCache.
• Advanced proficiency in AWS Architecture.
• Experience writing CloudFormation scripts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of search engine internals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Lucene development or other low-level inverted indexes.
