Description

You will design and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures to protect applications, data, and infrastructure. You own the security strategy, technical guidance for engineering teams, and compliance readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure AWS architectures using IAM, data encryption, and network security controls.
• Lead security strategy execution and provide technical guidance to engineering, operations, and DevOps teams.
• Perform cloud security risk and vulnerability assessments to propose and implement mitigation strategies.
• Leverage AWS security tools (Shield, WAF, GuardDuty, Security Hub) to enforce policies and detect incidents.
• Manage incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and guide post-incident remediation.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in IT security with 10+ years hands-on securing AWS cloud infrastructures.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification required; CISSP or CISM also accepted.
• Expertise in AWS architecture, security services, and compliance tools (NIST, HIPAA, IRS, SSA).
• Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with containerization and serverless technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Lambda.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of threat hunting and penetration testing in AWS.
