Description

You will own the configuration and maintenance of cloud security controls to protect web applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy Cloudflare WAF rules and security policies to mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Implement Cloudflare Bot Management and DDoS Protection to block malicious and volumetric attacks.
• Analyze traffic patterns using Cloudflare analytics to identify threats and respond to security incidents.
• Evaluate and tune security settings, including rate limiting, page rules, and firewall configurations.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to secure CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in network or cloud security with direct, hands-on Cloudflare experience.
• Proficiency in managing Cloudflare WAF, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, and custom Rulesets.
• Experience with DDoS mitigation strategies and real-time incident handling.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, and general web technologies.
• Knowledge of CDN concepts and optimization strategies.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
