Conduct security reviews of AWS cloud infrastructure and engineering environments.
Evaluate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) against security standards and best practices.
Assess compliance with security policies, controls, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework Security Pillar.
Identify, document, and remediate security misconfigurations and compliance gaps.
Implement AWS security controls, hardening measures, and secure configurations.
Develop and maintain AWS security standards, configuration guides, dashboards, and playbooks.
Provide technical security guidance and consultation to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to automate security assessments and improve security tooling.
Support security training and communicate findings and recommendations to technical teams.
5+ years of hands-on AWS security experience.
Strong experience designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures.
Experience with AWS security services, IAM, network security, security architecture, DevSecOps, IaC, vulnerability management, Zero Trust, and data protection.
Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements and security frameworks.
Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, and related federal security requirements.
Experience with scripting and security automation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.
AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
Experience supporting federal or government cybersecurity environments.
Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework security assessments.
Experience developing security posture dashboards, standards, and automation solutions
