Key Skills: COBOL, AS400-RPG400-ILE

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex COBOL applications in a legacy enterprise environment.
• Analyze existing application code, troubleshoot defects, and implement stable fixes for production and non-production issues.
• Support legacy modernization and re-platforming efforts for business-critical systems.
• Work across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support phases of the SDLC.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and technical guidance to junior developers.

Skills Required:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in COBOL application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL application development, including Micro Focus COBOL 6.4.
• Experience with Micro Focus Visual COBOL, Enterprise Developer, and Enterprise Server.
• Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture, legacy systems, and modernization initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle, along with version control tools like Git, SVN, or TFS.

Good to Have:

• Experience with AS400, RPG400, or ILE environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
