Description

Architect and build enhancements for in-house COBOL applications within the Investment Book of Records team, owning the full software development lifecycle from analysis to production support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect high-end solutions and create detailed technical specifications for new functionality.
• Perform hands-on development and implement application features using COBOL.
• Develop test plans following the established Development Process Framework and assist SQA teams with UAT testing.
• Provide production support and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior COBOL Developer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Full software development lifecycle experience, from analysis to testing large-scale applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate within a team.
• Experience testing software designed for complex business scenarios.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fujitsu NetCOBOL or MicroFocus COBOL.
• Knowledge of Sybase, MQ, Unix, or Unix shell scripting.
• Financial industry experience involving trade flow and corporate actions.
