Description

You will design, code, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications within a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance COBOL applications using Micro Focus COBOL on Linux.
• Write shell scripts to automate processes, monitor systems, and optimize performance.
• Support life insurance underwriting (UW) systems and process insurance data.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues within COBOL applications and Linux environments.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development.
• Expertise in Micro Focus COBOL.
• Advanced knowledge of shell scripting for automation and system maintenance.
• Senior-level experience with Linux systems, including administration and performance tuning.
• Experience working with legacy systems.
• Domain knowledge in life insurance underwriting (UW) processes.
• Any Graduate degree.
