Description

You will design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications on IBM z/OS mainframe environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement COBOL programs within IBM z/OS or equivalent mainframe systems.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications using JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform code reviews, and debug applications in real time.
• Maintain technical documentation, including design specs, program logic, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure accurate requirement translation and delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of programming experience in COBOL on IBM mainframe systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2.
• Proficiency with mainframe debugging tools and batch processing environments.
• Proven experience supporting and maintaining production systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
