Description

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise Kafka and Confluent Platform solutions. You will own the development of Python-based streaming applications and event-driven integration patterns across microservices and third-party systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable Kafka clusters using Schema Registry, Connect, and ksqlDB.
• Develop production-grade Python producers and consumers for high-throughput data streams.
• Implement security controls including TLS encryption, SASL/OAuth authentication, and ACL-based authorization.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Design event-driven patterns to bridge microservices, data stores, and APIs.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend and streaming development.
• Hands-on experience deploying Kafka and applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of Kafka internals, schema evolution strategies, and Kafka Connect architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and complex event-driven integration patterns.
