Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, configure and validate VKS (VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service) within VCF 9 and VCF 5.2 environments.
• Integrate VKS with NSX networking, AVI load balancers and vSAN storage policies (CNS).
• Support Day-1 and Day-2 operations including cluster management, workload onboarding, namespace management and container monitoring via VCF Operations for Containers.
• Troubleshoot complex deployment, network, storage and cluster integration issues through log analysis and root-cause resolution.
• Create build procedures, operational runbooks, as-built documentation and best practices guides.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for customer technical teams.
• Manage stakeholders and work closely with architects and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Strong hands-on experience with VKS (formerly TKG), VMware Private AI, VCF 5.2+ (with exposure to VCF 9), SDDC Manager, vSphere and NSX.
• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes operations, microservices architecture, container networking and storage integrations.
• Knowledge of Supervisor Cluster network requirements (Management, Workload, Ingress and Egress CIDRs).
• Hands-on setup of AVI Load Balancer, vSAN storage policies, storage classes and persistent volumes.
• Experience with container registries and CI/CD tooling like Jenkins and GitLab.
• Familiarity with GitOps and automation frameworks such as Helm and ArgoCD.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Required: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
• Preferred: VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator (2V0-17.25)
• Optional: VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25)
