Description

You own the cost engineering lifecycle for electromechanical products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform product teardown and should-cost analysis for electromechanical products.
• Develop and maintain cost models for PCBAs, wire harnesses, displays, connectors, sensors, battery modules, and electronic components.
• Analyze Gerber files, schematics, and BOMs for accurate cost estimation and identify cost drivers.
• Lead Value Engineering workshops to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design and sourcing teams to optimize PCBA layouts and reduce component costs.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in Should Costing and Value Engineering for electronics hardware.
• Strong understanding of PCBA design and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience with wire harnessing, display technologies (LCD, OLED, TFT), and electronic component sourcing.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable cost savings via engineering and sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with COTS tools such as Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, and SEER.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience optimizing PCBA layouts for cost reduction.
